About the hotel

Formerly an 18th century carriage house, this hotel has been converted to a 26-bedroom boutique hotel recommended by journalists around the world for its charm and refined, cosy atmosphere.

The Pand Hotel was featured in the Tatler Guide 2006 as one of the best 101 Hotels in the World and as the “Best Boutique Hotel in Belgium”. In October 2007, it was awarded “Best Charming Hotel in Europe” by the Prix Villégiature 2007, a very high distinction. It is privately run by the owner, whose pride is evidently expressed in the opulent choice of furnishings, objets d’art and many antiques. The hotel facilities include an intimate lounge, library, a cosy and romantic bar, and a Wi-Fi internet corner. There is also a green patio with fountain and a sauna to guarantee complete relaxation.

The Vanhaecke Family, very much in love with antiques and objects of art, wants to share their passion with you. The interior is full of charm and character, expressing a timeless, elegant, nice and comfortable atmosphere.

In the library, you can relax by the open fire between hundreds of old books, several Louis Vuitton suitcases, old framed deeds, wooden collectables. The pine panelled walls and old wooden floors give the lounges the singular elegance of an English house and the refined variety of an art lover room.

The bar, in dark and aubergine colours, with its mahogany furniture, leather chesterfield armchair and lighting by Jacques Garcia, lights up at nightfall in a cosy and nostalgic atmosphere.

The sauna with shower jets and waterfall help you to be calm in a Zen atmosphere.

Enjoy all this while listening to the gentle sound of the fountain in the adjacent patio.

Hotel Map

By Car (from Brussels/Amsterdam/Calais):
- Follow the E40 motorway, take exit 9 for Oostkamp and follow signs for Bruges until you arrive at the ring road.
- Cross the ring road and the bridge over the canal where you will arrive in Katelijnestraat.
- Drive straight until the Church of Our Lady.
- Turn right around the church into the Gruuthusestraat which continues as Dijver along the canal.
- After Dijver it continues to Rozenhoedkaai.
- Take the 1st street on the right (Pandreitje).
- The hotel is the 3rd house on the right.

From Bruges Railway Station (2km):
- Passing the station, go over the high bridge in front and at the traffic lights cross the bridge on the left where you will arrive in Katelijnestraatt.
- Follow above directions.

By Taxi:
- There are always taxis waiting in front of the railway station. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the hotel.

Walking:
- Follow directions from the railway station. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the hotel, but it is advisable to drive or take a taxi.
